Another List from Miami New Times

Guess I'm not the only list-maker in town.


Here are the top 50 Reasons to Absolutely Love Living in Miami. It's from the Miami New Times, the local altweekly.

The List

This blog started from a list and a conversation.

Shortly after moving to Miami, I made a quick visit back home. And on my return flight to Florida, I got very excited that I was going back to my new home, and a new life.

So I pulled out my writing pad and made a list. (Because I'm a list maker who makes lists of lists.) I wrote down 102 things to do in Miami to make my life here. (Don't read the photo too carefully or I might blush.)

Two months later, my good friend L. and I catch up on life. Somehow the list comes up. I tell her I've done a few things on it - mostly haphazardly - and read some more items, like #31 Drink Rum.

L. suggests a blog. L. has great ideas.

So that's how I decided to blog about making my life in Miami.

Please note: I am following South Florida style, not Associated Press style. That means no deadlines, no quotas, possible grammar mistakes and I won't even go in linear order. It will just happen. Also note, when I can, I'll refer to the number on the original list; otherwise, I'll count from 103.
